ANNUAL DINNER MEETING
October 22, 2012

Marshals Present:
Halstead and Clark
Absent:
Frampton and Oberg
Former Fire Commissioners Present:
O’Keefe, Farrell and Schertzer
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Cragin at 7:05 p.m.
Chairman Opening Comments:
Cragin stated that this year he made the decision to hold the elections during the Regular monthly meeting of October 15th. The results of the elections were as follows:
- Lisa Goosman – Three Year Term Fire Commissioner
- Lisa Goosman – One Year Term Vice Chairman
- Rob Manna – One Year Term as Chairman
Cragin has been a Newtown Fire Commissioner for 31 years; and had the pleasure of serving as Chairman for the last 21.
Cragin thanked Terry Hennessey for working with him during his tenure as Chairman.
1. Reappointment of Fire Marshal
A motion was made by Goosman, and seconded by Manna, to reappoint Halstead as Fire Marshal for another year term.
Motion passed unanimously.
2. Deputy Fire Marshals
A motion was made by Goosman, and Burton seconded by to reappoint Deputy Fire Marshals Frampton, Ketchum, Ober and Clark for another year term.
Motion passed unanimously.
Cragin thanked Zilinek for his service this year assisting in the Fire Marshal’s office.
Rob Manna, New Chairman, Opening Comments
Manna thanked Cragin for his years of dedication, and looks forward to taking over the role of Chairman following in Cragin’s footsteps.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
